Santa Claus
Santa Claus does come to town, all over the world, and always with the good will and the for the right reason.
“You better watch out
You better not cry
Better not pout I’m telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town”
“He’s making a list
And checking it twice
Gonna find out Who’s naughty and nice
Santa Claus is coming to town.”He sees you when you’re sleeping
He knows when you’re awake
He knows if you’ve been bad or good
So be good for goodness sake!O! You better watch out!
You better not cry
Better not pout
I’m telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town
Santa Claus is coming to town Claus comes to town.“You better watch out
You better not cry
Better not pout I’m telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town”
“He’s making a list
And checking it twice
Gonna find out Who’s naughty and nice
Santa Claus is coming to town.”
These lyrics are well known and heard all over the world at the Christmas season.

Santa does come to town every year for Christmas in Lapland. Christmas in the Nordic Countries has a long tradition as being centered on the home and family. What you may not know is that on the South-West coast of Finland, at the city of Turku, they have declared the Christmas peace since the mid 13th century. Starting with the rule of the Swedish King Magnus the 4th. In the city of Turku, in southern Finland, large crowds of people gather just before noon. After the Turku Cathedral Bell strikes twelve, the Declaration of Christmas Peace is then read.
The Declaration of Christmas Peace:
“Tomorrow, God willing, is the graceful celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior; and thus is declared a peaceful Christmas time to all, by advising devotion and to behave otherwise quietly and peacefully, because he who breaks this peace and violates the peace of Christmas by any illegal or improper behavior shall under aggravating circumstances be guilty and punished according to what the law and statutes prescribe for each and every offense separately. Finally, a joyous Christmas feast is wished to all inhabitants of the city.”
The declaration has become a Finnish Christmas tradition, and it is broadcast over all the radio airwaves and on the TV stations. The ceremony ends with a flourish as the trumpets play the National Anthem.
Without any doubt the children of the future world need to experience the generous spirit of Santa Claus, and to see a role model of hope for human dignity.
